Merina Irfano
Merina Irfano has over 20 years of experience in urban design and planning with additional experience working as an architect in the private sector. Merina is dedicated to transformational design that creates a positive impact for people and the environment. With her experiences living in several different countries and visiting many cities around the world, she is committed to the improvement of the urban environment. She has a strong ability to understand urban contextual problems and provide honest responses to challenging issues.
Merina has led variety of project types ranging from entitlement, design guidelines, urban green-fill and brown-fill projects in the States, to large and complex master plan projects in the Middle East and Southeast Asia regions. She has been involved in the redevelopment of Stapleton – now called Central Park, one of the largest infill redevelopment projects in the nation. She sits on the Design Review Boards for Central Park and Horizon Uptown both in Denver and Aurora, Colorado
Merina received her undergraduate degree in Architecture in 1992 from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia and PhD in Urban Planning from Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 2000
