An urban designer at Civitas, Soonhyuck ‘Soon’ Choi is a planner, a problem solver, and a strong client advocate who is passionate about seeing projects through the full spectrum of design, from start to finish.
Soon joined Civitas after earning a master’s degree in urban design at the University of Colorado, Denver. His thoughtful approach to design is shaped by his willingness to ask questions and investigate a project’s underlying challenges, defining the project’s core guiding principles that ultimately inform the best solutions. Motivated by his own passions for family and community, Soon applies his human-centric approach to numerous master planning projects including Broomfield Town Square, Pikes Peak Park, and Painted Prairie—which has been named community of the year in multiple national award programs.
