My husband had been working at Civitas for eight years before I joined. I met many of his coworkers at company events and always really enjoyed them. My positive experiences with Civitas employees and the company’s emphasis on work-life balance eventually led me to apply.
Who or what brought you to Civitas? Why did you choose to work here?
What experiences (or people or places) have had the most influence on you and/or your career?
I’m still new in my career, so I would have to say my husband and coworkers at Civitas have greatly helped me in my career and vision.
What is your proudest accomplishment so far, either at work or in life in general?
My proudest accomplishment is migrating to America. My husband and I immigrated ten years ago, not knowing anyone in America. It was a big transition for us, but I’m very proud we built our lives and careers here.
What do you do outside of work to have fun, or relax, or learn, or volunteer?
Outside of work, we like to hike, ski or spend time with the family, even if it is at home. We frequently spend time outdoors and love going to new places.
What are you reading or listening to these days?
I love listening to K-pop. My favorite group is New Jeans.
What is your favorite food to eat, or recipe to cook?
My favorite recipe to cook is Korean bulgogi beef or tteokbokki, a spicy traditional Korean rice cake dish.
Describe one item that you never leave home without.
It’s definitely my planner. I write everything down in it and keep track of my schedule, I can’t go anywhere without it.
