Wenlin Yang, Designer
I grew up in the city of Lanzhou, China, which sits on the banks of the Yellow River. I remember for my entire childhood I loved just walking in the city with my brother for hours and hours without a purpose. I still walk a lot, just wandering around to look and experience the feeling of my current environment. This is one of the reasons I applied for landscape architecture in college, creating and improving the physical and sensorial experience of a place for all the creators is what I am truly interested in. In addition, I love creating art pieces, and being in the design field gives me the opportunity to express my artistic passions with engineered technology. Outside of work, I like to try all kinds of handcrafts, my apartment is full of crocheted, knitted, tufted, and embroidered projects; there is a type of embroidered mapping I am recently interested.
