Bangkok International Airport

Civitas and Fentress Architects won an international competition for the Second Bangkok International Airport, which is now open. The scheme was widely acclaimed for its compact form, authentic use of landscape patterns and materials, sustainability and experience for the traveller. A mile long grove of palms leads the arriving traveller to a pair of lakes and wetlands to engage the traveller in a naturalized semi-tropical garden environment right up to the departure platforms.
